Putin's Upcoming Visit to Mongolia Amid ICC Warrant

Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to visit Mongolia next week, despite an ICC arrest warrant against him for the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children. As a signatory of the Rome Statute, Mongolia is technically obligated to arrest Putin but is unlikely to do so. Experts suggest that while Mongolia could face legal proceedings for not complying, the consequences are expected to be minimal, especially given Russia's position as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. This visit will be Putin's first to an ICC member country since the warrant was issued.
