Saratoga Springs Police Seek Public’s Help After Hit-and-Run Incident

The Saratoga Springs Police Department is seeking public assistance to locate a grey sedan, possibly a Honda Civic, that struck a student in a crosswalk on Grandview Boulevard Thursday morning between 7:28 and 7:35 a.m. The vehicle was traveling east, and fortunately, the student was not seriously injured. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact them at 801-798-5600.

Ukraine Conducts Massive Drone Strike on Russian Oil Refinery

Ukraine launched a large-scale drone strike targeting Russian facilities, including an oil refinery in Ryazan and the Kremniy factory in Bryansk, causing significant fires. Russia claimed to have intercepted 121 drones and reported no damage, while Ukraine reported three civilian deaths from Russian drone strikes in the Kyiv region. BYU’s Recruiting Reaches New Heights with 2024 and 2025 Classes

BYU football’s recruiting for 2024 and 2025 has reached unprecedented heights, with a notable increase in top-tier talent compared to previous years. Between 2024 and 2025, BYU signed 19 players rated 87 or higher, compared to just seven in the three classes from 2020 to 2022. The 2025 class also includes three elite recruits rated 91 or higher, a first for BYU. Despite modest national and Big 12 rankings, the improvement in player quality offers hope for the program’s future under coach Kalani Sitake, known for exceptional player development.
