Early Morning Incident: Semi-Truck Fire on I-15

A semi-truck carrying lumber caught fire early Thursday morning on I-15 near Santaquin, Utah, causing a complete stop for northbound travelers and ongoing lane restrictions. The incident began around 2:30 a.m., and cleanup efforts extended into the morning as crews worked to clear the scene.

Shooting Incident in Irvine

A UPS driver was shot and killed in his truck in Irvine, California, around 3 p.m. on Thursday. The shooter, who wore a mask, targeted the driver while he was on break. Authorities apprehended the suspect after a standoff. The driver was known in the community, and UPS is cooperating with the investigation and providing support to affected employees.

Zelenskyy Visits Kharkiv Amid Russian Assault

Record-Breaking Performances at 5A State Meet

The first day of the Utah 5A state track and field meet at BYU's Clarence Robison Track saw multiple records fall. Maple Mountain's 4x200-meter relay team set a new 5A record with a time of 1:26.72. Timpview junior Jane Hedengren shattered the girls' 3200-meter record by nearly 30 seconds, finishing in 9:52.96, the second-fastest time in the nation. Viewmont's boys' team also set a state record in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 7:43.31.
