Victim Identified in Fatal Utah County Head-On Collision
Authorities have identified Scarleth Ramnarine, 54, of West Jordan, as the victim in a fatal head-on collision with a semi-truck on SR-96 in Utah County. The accident occurred on October 29, 2024, near milepost 17 north of Scofield Reservoir. Ramnarine was a passenger in a pickup truck traveling westbound when it collided with an eastbound semi-truck, resulting in her death at the scene. The pickup's driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital, while the semi-truck driver sought medical care privately. Weather conditions are believed to have contributed to the accident, which led to several hours of road closure for investigation and cleanup.

Oklahoma Prepares for More Severe Weather After Weekend Tornadoes
Oklahoma braces for more severe weather after a weekend of destructive tornadoes injured at least 11 people and damaged around 100 homes. The Oklahoma City Fire Department reported widespread damage, including downed power lines, fallen trees, and demolished structures. The National Weather Service warns that the same system could bring additional thunderstorms, damaging winds, large hail, and more tornadoes across a region spanning from central Texas to northern Missouri, with eastern Oklahoma expected to face the highest risk.
