Road Rage Incident in Lehi Results in Father's Death
Michael Brown, a 38-year-old father of two, died from a traumatic brain injury sustained during a road rage fight in Lehi. The incident, involving a physical altercation with another driver, John Williams, resulted in Brown being struck unconscious and later taken off life support. Brown's children, aged 8 and 10, were present during the incident. Williams has been charged with aggravated assault. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $11,000 to support Brown's family. International Police Operation Takes Down Ransomware Networks
A major international police operation, coordinated by the EU's justice and police agencies, dismantled ransomware networks responsible for spreading malware via infected emails. Dubbed "Endgame," the operation resulted in the arrest of four high-value suspects, the takedown of over 100 servers, and the seizure of 2,000 internet domains. The operation, involving multiple countries including the US, UK, and Germany, targeted malware such as IcedID, Pikabot, Smokeloader, Bumblebee, and Trickbot. Authorities seized assets worth 69 million euros and continue to monitor suspect transactions. This operation follows the 2021 takedown of the Emotet botnet and marks the largest international cyber police operation to date.
