Xi and Putin Send Greetings to Kim Jong Un for North Korea’s Founding Anniversary

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin sent messages to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in honor of North Korea's founding anniversary. Palestinian Authority Holds Funeral for U.S.-Turkish Activist Shot in West Bank

A funeral procession was held by the Palestinian Authority for Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a 26-year-old U.S.-Turkish dual national activist allegedly shot by Israeli forces during a protest against settlements in the West Bank. Eygi’s body, draped in a Palestinian flag, was carried through Nablus. The Turkish Foreign Ministry is arranging to return her remains to Turkey for burial. Israeli forces claim they were targeting an instigator, while witnesses say she posed no threat when shot. Violence in the West Bank has escalated since the Israel-Hamas conflict began.

Lions Rally to Win in Overtime Despite Sloppy Second Half

The Detroit Lions secured a 26-20 overtime win against the Rams despite a sloppy second half. Jared Goff had an inconsistent game, throwing an interception and nearly more, but rallied on the final drive to help tie the game. The running game, led by David Montgomery, surged late, securing the win. Wide receivers, particularly Jameson Williams, stepped up while the offensive line dominated in overtime. Defensively, Aidan Hutchinson led a strong pass rush, though the secondary struggled. Special teams excelled, and Dan Campbell’s decisions helped the Lions start the season 1-0.
