The BYU Police Beat for July 22-29 covered various incidents, including welfare checks, medical emergencies, theft, trespassing, and other routine patrol activities. Officers responded to numerous welfare checks, several involving students or participants in the For the Strength of Youth (FSY) program. Medical emergencies ranged from panic attacks to seizures, with many FSY participants requiring medical attention. Theft and trespassing incidents involved both students and individuals with previous ban letters. Other notable incidents included a found child, fireworks disturbances, lost property reports, and an attempted suicide.
