California Issues Earliest Snow Advisory in Two Decades for Sierra Nevada
The Sierra Nevada has received its earliest snow advisory in 20 years, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from Sunday night to Monday afternoon. Areas above 8,000 feet may receive up to 2-3 inches of snow, with Tioga Pass near Yosemite National Park expected to get the most snowfall. Travelers in the region are advised to plan alternate routes due to potential road closures. Another trough is expected midweek, possibly bringing more snow to the area, but the rain will not impact Southern California wildfires.

SpaceX’s Polaris Dawn Capsule Safely Returns After Historic Spacewalk
SpaceX's Polaris Dawn capsule safely splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico after completing a historic five-day mission. This mission included the first commercial spacewalk and marked the farthest humans have traveled from Earth since the 1970s. The Crew Dragon capsule, carrying four astronauts, landed off the coast of Florida after facing extreme temperatures during re-entry. The crew, led by billionaire Jared Isaacman, orbited at 870 miles above Earth, with two female SpaceX engineers, Anna Menon and Sarah Gillis, achieving a milestone as the first women to fly this far from Earth.

Wyoming Cowboys Fall to BYU Cougars 34-14 in Rivalry Game
The Wyoming Cowboys faced a tough loss to BYU, falling 34-14 in their first meeting in Laramie since 2009. BYU dominated with 458 yards of offense, including a 100-yard kickoff return in the second half. Wyoming’s offense struggled, managing just 217 yards. Quarterback Evan Svoboda led with 140 passing yards and 31 rushing yards. Wyoming’s defense made notable plays, with Isaac White leading in tackles and Wrook Brown recording an interception. Despite the setback, Wyoming is set to play North Texas next Saturday on ESPN+.
