Father Allegedly Stalks and Kills Daughter, Fleeing the Country After the Crime
Hector Ramon Martinez-Ayala, a Utah father, is accused of stalking and killing his 25-year-old daughter, sheriff's deputy Marbella Martinez, before fleeing the country. Police describe Martinez-Ayala’s behavior as increasingly obsessive and controlling, with text messages more akin to those of a "jealous lover" than a father. He allegedly used a tracking device to monitor his daughter and her romantic interests before the murder. Marbella was found strangled in her home, and Martinez-Ayala is now the subject of an international manhunt after admitting to his "unforgivable sin" in a message to his brother.

Ukrainian Drones Strike Moscow and Surrounding Areas, Causing Death and Damage
In one of the largest drone attacks on Russian soil since the war began, over 140 Ukrainian drones targeted multiple Russian regions, including Moscow and surrounding areas, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The town of Ramenskoye, just outside Moscow, saw significant damage, including two multistory residential buildings that caught fire. The attack led to temporary airport closures and flight diversions in the Moscow area. Ukraine’s intensified drone strategy aims to disrupt Russia’s military efforts, while Russia has continued its own assaults on Ukraine, contributing to the ongoing conflict.
