Jose Mora Rodriguez, a 33-year-old father from Utah, has been charged with felony child endangerment following the discovery that his 8-year-old son had been exposed to THC, the active compound in marijuana. This investigation began after his wife was arrested for child abuse homicide in connection with the death of their 4-month-old child. Authorities found marijuana paraphernalia in areas accessible to the children, raising serious concerns about their living environment. The couple’s other children are now under the scrutiny of child welfare services as both parents remain in custody.

Washington Woman’s Property Surrounded by Nearly 100 Raccoons

A Washington woman, who has been feeding raccoons for 35 years, recently found her property overrun by nearly 100 raccoons. After noticing the sudden increase in the number of animals about six weeks ago, she called the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office for help. Authorities referred her to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, which connected her with wildlife control operators. The department warns that feeding raccoons can lead to aggressive behavior and conflicts between the animals and humans.

Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

A Turkish Airlines flight from Seattle to Istanbul made an emergency landing at JFK International Airport after the pilot, İlçehin Pehlivan, collapsed mid-flight and died despite attempts to resuscitate him. The incident occurred on Turkish Airlines flight TK204, which departed from Seattle and was redirected to New York. Pehlivan, 59, had been working with the airline since 2007 and recently passed a health examination in August. Passengers will be flown to Istanbul from JFK as scheduled.
