New Theropod Dinosaur Discovered in Kyrgyzstan

A new species of theropod dinosaur, Alpkarakush kyrgyzicus, was discovered in Kyrgyzstan, marking the first such find in the country. This significant discovery fills a gap in the knowledge of Jurassic predators in Central Asia. The dinosaur, which lived around 165 million years ago, shares similarities with Tyrannosaurus rex but is distinct with unique features such as a pronounced "eyebrow" horn. The discovery provides new insights into the evolution and biogeography of theropods.
