Denny’s Announces Plans to Close 150 Locations Nationwide

Denny’s, the beloved 24-hour diner chain, is closing 150 locations nationwide over the next two years, including 50 by the end of 2024. The decision, driven by outdated facilities and low-performing restaurants, will hit California, Utah, and Nevada the hardest. California, with 389 locations, accounts for 25% of Denny’s global footprint. After the closures, about 1,375 U.S. locations will remain. While Denny’s has not revealed which locations are closing, the future of late-night dining staples like the Grand Slam breakfast is uncertain for many.
