Service Initiative: Miss Provo's Mission for Scholarships
Molli Eaton, crowned Miss Provo 2023, draws from her experience helping a Dominican Republic man prepare for a citizenship test during her mission in New Jersey to fuel her passion for service. She initiated the "Integration by Education" project, aiming to raise $3,000 for scholarships benefiting first-generation or immigrant scholars in the Provo area. The Tassel Scholarship, named for its goal of graduation, aims to award three $1,000 scholarships by the fall semester. Eaton collaborates with local organizations and plans fundraising events, including a community musical fundraiser in August. She also produces translation videos for Spanish-speaking residents and organizes college workshops to promote educational resources. Aspiring to become Miss Utah, Eaton emphasizes the importance of community service and encourages others to engage in initiatives that make a difference.
