BYU Study on Firework Pollution

A BYU study found high levels of metals like barium and copper in the air after fireworks in northern Utah, posing risks to vulnerable populations and potentially affecting crops and soil. Researchers recommend standing upwind and watching fireworks from a distance to reduce exposure.

Children Rescued and Located

The U.S. Marshals Service rescued 200 missing or endangered children over six weeks during "Operation We Will Find You 2," focusing on cities like Phoenix and Miami. The operation, assisted by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), removed 123 children from dangerous situations and found 77 in safe locations. This year, 546 children have been recovered so far.

Destruction of PIJ's Largest Rocket Site

Israeli forces have destroyed the largest long-range rocket manufacturing site of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza. The operation, conducted by the Israeli Commando Brigade, involved simultaneous ground and underground attacks using drones and precise missiles. The site, located in Tel al-Sultan near Rafah, had produced hundreds of rockets over the years. The destruction of the site aims to hinder PIJ's ability to launch rockets at Israeli targets. The operation is part of Israel's broader offensive against PIJ and Hamas in Gaza.
