Global Increase in GPS Jamming and Spoofing Attacks by Russia and Iran
A rise in GPS jamming and spoofing attacks, primarily by Russia and Iran, has disrupted navigation for commercial and military aircraft, prompting new protective measures. Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) ADA Anti-Jam GPS System, used by the Israeli Air Force, is now being extended to civil aviation to counteract these threats. This technology ensures reliable GPS navigation despite interference, integrating advanced signal processing techniques to maintain positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) even in challenging conditions. The international effort to secure GNSS signals highlights the growing concern over navigation system vulnerabilities in conflict zones.
