Tragic Confrontation: Fatal Fight at Orem Care Facility

Brandon James Hooks, a resident at an Orem care facility, has been charged with murder and assault following a fatal confrontation with fellow resident Timothy Dastrup. The altercation began over a disagreement about mayonnaise in crab cake mix, escalating into a physical fight. Hooks allegedly assaulted Dastrup, causing fatal injuries, while two employees intervened unsuccessfully. Despite attempts to stop Hooks, Dastrup was pronounced dead at the scene.
