Daughter Arrested in Double Homicide of Parents in Southern Utah
Mia Bailey, 28, was arrested on suspicion of murdering her parents, Joseph and Gail Bailey, in Washington City, Utah. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when Mia's brother alerted police after fleeing the home upon hearing gunshots. After a search involving multiple agencies and a brief shelter-in-place warning for residents, Mia was apprehended in a St. George field. She admitted to the murders and expressed no remorse, also confessing to shooting at her brother. Mia has been charged with aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, and felony discharge of a firearm.

Hiker Paralyzed by Spider Bite Rescued in Sierra Nevada
A hiker in California's Sierra Nevada mountains was rescued after a paralyzing bite, believed to be from a spider, left her unable to continue. She was on the Taboose Pass Trail and managed to relay her location to rescue officials before her phone died. The Inyo County Search & Rescue team found her late at night and safely guided her down the trail using ropes and a wheeled litter. Officials emphasized the importance of carrying power banks or satellite messaging devices for emergencies, noting that many emergency calls come from phones with dying batteries.

Double-Double by Clark Highlights Fever's Victory Over Mystics
Caitlin Clark posted a double-double, helping the Indiana Fever secure their third straight win with an 88-81 victory over the Washington Mystics. Clark scored 18 points, grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds, and added 6 assists and 4 steals. Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston each scored 22 points for the Fever, while NaLyssa Smith contributed 11 points. Ariel Atkins led the Mystics with 27 points. The Fever have won five of their last seven games and achieved their first four-game home winning streak since 2015.
