Jennifer Gledhill Banned from Contacting Kids Amid Murder Charges

Utah mother Jennifer Gledhill, accused of murdering her veteran husband Matthew Johnson, has expressed frustration with the court’s restrictions on her contact with her children while she awaits trial. Her attorney argued that the protective order, barring Gledhill from contacting her three young children, was improperly issued, as the children are not direct victims. Authorities arrested Gledhill after a man alleged she confessed to killing Johnson, whose body remains missing. While the protective order was removed, the judge issued a no-contact order, citing potential future exceptions but continuing to limit Gledhill’s interaction with her children.

Naim Qassem Appointed New Hezbollah Leader After Nasrallah’s Death

Lebanon’s Hezbollah has named Naim Qassem, a long-serving deputy, as its new leader following the death of Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike in September. Qassem, who was among Hezbollah’s founding members in 1982 and previously served as second in command, will now officially head the Iran-backed militant group. Qassem's leadership marks a transition for Hezbollah, with him already delivering public addresses in a more formal Arabic style compared to Nasrallah's distinctive Lebanese dialect. Initially, Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s executive council, was considered a successor but was also reportedly killed in a recent airstrike.
