Man Accused of Credit Card Theft at Orem Temple

Alexander Cedillo Herrera has been accused of stealing credit cards from the Orem Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and making fraudulent purchases. According to police, Herrera gained access to secure lockers at the temple and took transaction cards, later claiming he "found" them. He attempted a $839 purchase at Target with one card, which was declined, but successfully made smaller purchases using another stolen card. Additional charges include $170 at a Midvale Walmart and $145 at an Orem Walmart. Three victims have reported stolen cards following visits to the temple in November.
